How much protein are you told to consume every day??

Is it an amount in grams for the day? Is it an amount in grams per meal? Is it each as much as you can?

Protein in a nutshell.

1 your body cannot digest more than about 30g at once.

So don’t cook 300g of chicken breast and think the 75g of protein you’ve eaten is going to make you huge. You are going to urinate some away and some will get converted into glucose via gluconeogenesis. You should have cooked about 150g.

It’s also a waste of money!!

2 research has shown that the protein levels above 2g per kg of body weight is no more beneficial.

conclusion

Don’t eat more than 30g in one go and double your body weight to get the most amount of protein you should eat in one day.
